Procedures – How to Make a Pomander

Step 1. Make an artificial flower out of crepe paper by folding a strip of crepe into our desired petal size as shown in the illustration below. We need 10 petals for each flower that we are going to make. In this example, each division that represent the petals measure about 2in x 1.75 in..

Step 3. After we have done the Step 2 to all the petals (3a), we need to coil them (3b) to form a flower them staple its base (3c) to bind the petals together. It is almost similar with the procedures on making plum blossoms out of crepe paper.

NOTE: For a pomander bouquet which is about the size of a basketball, you need about 100 pieces flowers that we did in Step 3.

Step 4.Now, we are going to create a spherical base for our pomander out of old newspapers. We simply crumple one sheet of newspaper then wrap it with another sheet until we reach the desired size for our pomander bouquet as illustrated below.

Hi Itin, gender is not a hindrance to creativity.

I am a visual merchandiser and it's part of my job to create props which will enhance the saleability of the products being displayed in the store where I am working.

If you want to enhance your creativity, you should not be selective on learning creative projects, which ranges from a very small beads craft to a large festival themed display.
